A Probe into the Motivation of Students' Learning English in Higher Vocational College

Abstract

English learning is a complicated process,in which motivation plays an important role. Based on the practical situation at our college,this paper discusses the function of motivation in foreign language learning. Then it makes an investigation on and analysis of the motivation of students' learning English in higher vocational college. Finally,it comes up with some suggestions on training and stimulating the students' positive motivation in English learning,thus speeding up the reformation of English teaching in higher vocational college and improving its quality of teaching English.
