Abstract

Objective To investigate the significance of serum prealbumin(PA) and total bile acid(TBA) in the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis grading.Methods Ninety-six cases of liver cirrhosis(Child-Pugh grade A,B and C were 30,33,and 33,respectively) were selected as the experimental group,65 healthy persons were served as control group.Serum PA and TBA were detected and their levels were compared between two groups.Results Serum PA was significantly lower in experimental group than control group(P 0.01),and significant difference in the serum PA level was found among Child-Pugh grade A,B and C patients.TBA level in experimental group was significantly higher than control group(P 0.05),and significant difference in TBA level was found among Child-Pugh grade A,B and C patients(P 0.01).Conclusion Serum PA and TBA can accurately reflect the severity of hepatic cirrhosis and facilitate the determination of liver cirrhosis grade.
