Abstract

Since the 1980s,teacher education has developed rapidly with new ideas and thoughts coming forth in developed countries,which is the critical and transitional period for international teacher education.It is attached more importance,showing as follows: the quality of teachers becomes the focus of teacher education reform;the ability of teachers is valued,and the certification criteria of qualified teachers are stressed;teacher education professionalization is promoted from the vocational orientation to professional development;integration of primary and secondary school teachers is started,and the focus of teacher education is moved up;teacher education is launched in comprehensive universities to improve the academic and research level of teacher education;the ties between universities and primary and secondary schools are strengthened,combining theory and practice.
