On Characteristics of Teacher Education in Developed Countries and Some Revelations

Teacher education involves teacher development and teacher training,which indicates that the education for teachers is characterized by its continuous,systematic and lifelong features.The development of the teaching staff in the world has gone through from normal school education to teacher education.This article briefly concludes some main features of the current teacher education in developed countries by focusing on the professional development,teacher training models and teaching qualifications.At last,some comments on current teacher education in China are also made.
