Efficacy of Combination of Bufexamac Cream with Hydrocortisone Butyrate Cream in the Treatment of Eczema

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of combination of bufexamac cream with hydrocortisone butyrate cream in treatment of children eczema. Methods One hundred and ten patients with eczema were divided into test and control group. Fifty five patients were smeared with bufexamac cream and hydrocortisone butyrate cream,fifty five patients were smeared only with hydrocortisone butyrate cream. Results At 4 weeks,comparing between the test group and the control group,the clinical cure rate(36.36%)and the effective rate(80.00%) in the test group was not higher than those(32.73% and 78.18%) in the control group,with a no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). No serious side reaction was found in all patients. Conclusion The results suggest that combination of bufexamac cream with hydrocortisone butyrate cream is a safe and effective regimen in the treatment of eczema.
