Comparison of the Effects of Bufexamac Cream and Hydrocortisone Butyrate in Treatment of Glucocorticoid Addictive Facial Dermatitis

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of bufexamac cream(Trade name:Shufulin,Hunan Dinuo Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd)and hydrocortisone butyrate in treatment of glucocorticoid addictive facial dermatitis.Methods One hundreds and twenty patients,aged 18 to 56 years,with glucocorticoid addictive facial dermatitis were divided into treatment and control group.Sixty patients were smeared with bufexamac cream and sixty patients with hydrocortisone butyrate.Results At 4 weeks,comparecl the test group and the control group,the clinical cure rate(43.33%)and the effective rate(80.00%) in the test group was not higher than those(50.00% and 95.00%) in the control group,with a statistically significant difference between them (P0.05).No serious side reaction was found in all patients.Conclusion The results suggest that bufexamac cream is a safe and effective regimen in the treatment of glucocorticoid dermatitis.
