Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of P27 and VEGF in bladder transitional cell carcinoma. Methods The expression of P27 and VEGF was detected by immunohistochemistry in 60 cases of BTCC and 10 cases of normal bladder tissue.Results(1) P27 protein was mainly expressed in the cell nucleus, positive rate in the BTCC group was 20%,normal tissues was 80%,the difference was significant(P 0.05).With the tumor grade and stage increased,P27 expression in bladder transitional cell carcinoma was significantly reduced;(2) VEGF was mainly expressed in the tumor cell membrane and cytoplasm, positive rate in the BTCC group was 81.7%,normal tissues was 10%,the difference was significant(P 0.05).With the tumor grade and stage increased,P27 expression in bladder transitional cell carcinoma was significantly increased. Conclusions The upregulation of P27 and downregulation of VEGF in BTCC may be associated with the development and metastasis of carcinoma.Detection the expression of P27 and VEGF can determine the biological behavior of BTCC.
