Abstract
Objective:To study the expression and prognostic significance of VEGF in bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC).Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of VEGF in BTCC(n=45) and normal bladder mucosa(n=10).Effect was analyzed by both clinical and pathologic data.Results:The positive expression of VEGF in BTCC was 62.22%(28/45),and normal bladder mucosa had no expression.The expression of VEGF was increased with the pathologic grade(grade Ⅰ35.2%,grade Ⅱ71.43%,grade Ⅲ85.71%).There was signifcante difference in the expression of VEGF between grade T2~T4(79.17%) and Tis~T1(42.86%)(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of VEGF in BTCC is related to the cell differentiation,and it can be a marker of determining prognosis of BTCC.
