Efficacy of body in the treatment of digestive ulcer

Abstract

AIM To study the efficiency of different body positions after antiacid drugs administrated in the treatement of peptic ulcer (gastric ulcer and duodendal ulcer). METHODS 141 patients with peptic ulcer assessed by endoscopy were randomly divided into two groups, body position treatment group ( n =71), routine treatment. RESULTS After one week treatment, pain was relieved earlier in body group then routine group ( P 0.05); There was significant difference in symptom disappearance rate, ulcer healing rate and total effective rate between the two groups ( P 0.05). CONCLUSION Body position treatment in treating digestive ulcer, is quicker in relieving symptom than routine and has no adverse effects.
