Effective evaluation of endoscopic microwave combined with anti-ulcer drug on treating peptic ulcer

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of combination of microwave and anti-ulcer drug under endoscopy in peptic ulcer.Methods:260 patients with peptic ulcer were randomly divided into 2 groups:microwave combined with anti-ulcer drug group(n=150) and anti-ulcer drug group (n =110).After treatment of microwave under endoscopy,the clinical symptoms and rate of healing as well as reoccurrence were compared between 2 groups.Results:The clinical remission rate of the combined group was higher than that of the control group within 1 week.The ulcer healing rate was 86.6% in the combined group and 63.6% in the control group respectively (P 0.05).The ulcer healing rate of the two groups were equal after 1 month and 3 months.The rate of reoccurrence in the combined group was 26.6% and 40.9% in the control group respectively (P0.05).The results indicated that the effects in the combined therapy group was better than that in the control group.Conclusion:Microwave combined with anti-ulcer drug therapy can promote the relieve of clinical symptoms and healing of peptic ulcer and decrease reoccurrence as well.It is a practical and effective treatment to peptic ulcer.
