Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of combined phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation and trabeculectomy inside the tunnel(triple procedure) in patients with glaucoma and cataract. Methods Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation combined with trabeculectomy inside the tunnel was performed on 28 eyes of glaucoma combined with cataract. Results After the follow-up period, the best corrected visual acuity were 0.05-1. 0, of which 2 eyes were 0.1 (7.14%), 17 eyes were 0.1-0.5(60.71%), 9 eyes were 0.5 (32.14%).Postoperatively,the intraocular pressure of all eyes decreased to the normal (mean,14.93±3. 80 mmHg).The filtering blebs of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ(functional) by Kronfeld's classification presented in 85.71% of the eyes. 5 eyes had corneal edema (17.86%), and 3 eyes had shallow anterior chamber (10.71%). Conclusions The phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation combined with trabeculectomy inside the tunnel is a good method for glaucoma combined with cataract.
