On Mencius' Economic Ideology

Abstract

Economic Ideology of Mencius' consists of both the inheritance of the tradition and some new ideas from which the change of social and economic relations during the Epoch of Warring States can be traced. Mencius' policy of Benevolence is the inheritance and development of Confucius' theory of Benevolence. His economic ideology includes getting benefit righteously, theory of immovable property, division and exchange, taxes and corvee,etc.
