Abstract

Mencius was a great thinker in ancient China. He inherited and developed Confucian's benevolence. He was the first thinker to put forward the policy of benevolence and developed it into a complete feudal ideology system of politics and philosophy. The policy of benevolence forwarded by Mencius is rich in its content and has far-reaching influence. Today, we take and inherit the rational core of this ideology critically. It is of much importance for the socialism morality construction and the Party's construction.
