Efficacy of Radical Cystectomy with Different Urinary Diversion(A Report of 37 Cases)

[Objective] To study the efficacy of radical cystectomy with three types of urinary diversion..[Methods]A total of 37 patients with urinary diversion after radical cystectomy,including 14 cases with Bricker operation,19 cases with orthotopic ileal neobladder,and 4 cases with ureterostomy,were analyzed retrospectively.[Results]There were no significant differences in operation time and volume of blood between Bricker operation group and orthotopic ileal neobladder group(P0.05).And there were significant difference in operation time and volume of blood between ureterostomy and other groups(P0.05).After a month of the operation,mild hydronephrosis was found in 4 cases in Bricker operation group and 1 case in orthotopic ileal neobladder group.Hydronephrosis was disappeared after 2 month of the operation.Follow up had been made in 6～18 months,and all patients recovered smoothly,and there was no tumor recurrence.[Conclusion]Radical cystectomy is one of the optimal means in treating multiple or invasive bladder tumor.Bricker operation and orthotopic ileal neobladder are good means of urinary diversion.Ureterostomy is a reasonable selection in some patients.
