Abstract

Objective To detect the clinical significance of serum tumor supplies group of factors (TSGF ),NSE and CYFRA21-1 in patients with lung cancer. Methods The serum levels of NSE,CYFRA21-1 and TSGF in 210 patients with lung cancer,44 patients with benign lung disease and 112 healthy controls were measured by Elctrochemiluminescence immuno-assay (ECLIA) and spectrophotometry. Results The serum levels of TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than those in benign lung disease and healthy controls (P 0.05). The serum levels and sensitivity of 3 tumor markers in patients with lung cancer were related to types of pathology, and the serum levels of 3 tumor markers in patients with non-small cell lung cancer were correlated significantly with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis. The sensitivity for lung cancer detection of serum TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 were 60.0%,38.1% and 59.5%. The specificity of TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 were 92.9%,93.6% and 96.8%. The sensitivity and specificity for lung cancer detection of combined detection of TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 were 87.6% and 84.0%. The serum levels of 3 tumor markers for newly diagnosed cancers and non-responders were significantly higher than that for responders (P 0.05). Conclusion The combined detection of serum TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 is of important clinical value in clinical diagnosis, monitor and evaluation of response to treatment of lung cancer, and the combined detection of serum TSGF,NSE and CYFRA21-1 might significantly improve the sensitivity for lung cancer detection.
