Comparative Study of Diclofenac Mucilage and Compound Amidopyrine Injection in Treating Surgical Infection with High Fever

Abstract

Objective: To compare the effect of diclofenac mucilage and compound amidopyrine injection in treating surgical infection with high fever.Methods: Data of 120 patients suffering from surgical infection with high fever were randomly divided into groups:60 cases in mucilage group,and 60 cases in injection group,and the antipyretic effect were observed.Result: The antipyretic effect of mucilage group(with an overall effective rate of 98%)was better than that of injection group(77%),with a P-value less than 0.01,and thereremarkably effective rates were 90%and 65% for the two groups,respectively,with s P-value less than 0.001.Their average body temperature lowered to 37.4 ℃ and 38.4℃ in two groups,respectively(P0.001)60 minutes after drug administration.The antipyretic effect could be sustained for(16.5±2.3)hours in the mucilage group,Longer than those in the injection group(9.8±3.1)hours,(P0.001).Conclusion: The efficacy of diclofenac mucilage can effectieely reduce temperatory and maintain a long time.
