Abstract
AIM: To compare the clinical effect of the treatment with 1% terbinafine ointemtn and compound ketoconazole ointment. METHODS: sixty patients with superficial mycosis were randomly divided into A and B groups. Group A of 30 patients (M18, F12, age 46 a± s 29 a), was treated with terbinafine ointment. Group B of 30 patients (M 20, F 10, age 47 a±25 a) was treated with compound ketoconazole ointment. Both oitments were applied on lesions of skin twice a day. The treatment course was two weeks. RESULTS: The curetive rate in the group A was 97%, whereas 67% in group B, ( P 0.01). CONCLUSION: The effect of terbinafine ointment is significantly better than that of compound ketoconazole ointment in the treatment of superficaal mycosis.
