Abstract
Based on the idea and method of relative carrying capacity of resources,this paper selected Shandong Province and Jinan separately as the referential region,calculated relative carrying capacity of land resources,relative carrying capacity of economic resources and synthetic carrying capacity of resources from 1996 to 2003 and described the evolution.The conclusions indicated that natural resources were used insufficiently reasonable,the economic development was slow,the unharmonious development between relative carrying capacity of land resources and relative carrying capacity of econominc resources was one of the main problems in this area on its way to the sustainable development direction.
