Abstract

Lin Yu-tang's translation practice lasted for half of a century from China's New Culture Movement to Anti-Culture Movement of the United States of America in 1950's.Like his works,his translation has got the striking feature of the combination of Chinese and western styles.Lin Yu-tang contributed a lot by employing the popular artistic methodology to transfer the elite of China's culture to the rest part of the world.The paper attempts to briefly introduce and make some comments on The Wisdom of Confucius from the aspects of Lin Yu-tang's translation thought and the translation of The Analects.
