Abstract
Lin Yutang, through the baptism of the May 4th New Culture Movement and the new Western ideas, has eliminated the sacred image of Confucius deified by the Confucian scholars of the Han and Song Dynasties and turned Confucius into a real person of wisdom and emotion who understands the joys and sorrows of human being in his new historical drama Confucius Saw Nancy and the wisdom of Confucius compiled in English and through the ethics review of the words and deeds of Confucius and his thinking.
