Analysis on Mortality Surveillance Data Among Urban Residents in Shouguang City,2009-2010

[Objective]To examine the mortality rate and causes of death among urban residents in Shouguang city,so as to provide scientific basis for public health planning and policy making.[Methods]Analysia was made on mortality data among urban residents in Shouguang city,2009-2010.[Results]In 2009-2010,22 114 were investigated,in which 330 died,The average annual mortality rate was 149.22/105.The mortality in 2009-2010 for males was 210.78/105,for females was 85.55/105,for 0 years old infants was 452.08/105,for 1-4 years old children was 10.86/105,and for 5-9 years old children was 9.04/105,and for 10-14 years old children was 30.18/105,and for 15-19 years old children was 6.80/105.When the people were older than 19,the mortality increased with age.The top three causes of death among the whole residents of males were cancer,vascular disease,and injuries,for the females were cancer,vascular disease,and injuries.[Conclusion]Cancer,vascular disease,and injuries are the main causes of mortality among urban residents in Shouguang city.
