Analysis on Data of Mortality Surveillance among Residents in Shouguang City,2009

[Objective]To understand the mortality rate and causes of death among residents in Shouguang city,so as to provide scientific basis for public health planning and policy making.[Methods]Mortality data among residents in Shouguang city in 2009 were analyzed.[Results]In 2009,1 029 000 residents were investigated,6 843 died,the mortality was 670.00/105.The mortality of residents(/105) for male was 739.75,for female was 588.89,for 0 years old infants was 670.00,for 1-4 years old children was 34.51,and for 5-9 years old children was 16.31,and for 10-14 years old children was 20.75.When the people were older than 14,the mortality increased with age.The top four causes of death of all the residents and male and female were cardiovascular diseases,malignant tumors,respiratory diseases,injuries,poisoning and external causes.[Conclusion]Cardiovascular disease,malignant tumors,respiratory diseases,external causes of injury and poisoning are the main causes of mortality among residents in Shouguang city.
