Analysis on Mortality surveillance of Shouguang Population in 2011

Objective This study aims to examine the mortality rate and causes of death of Shouguang population,and to provide scientific evidence for public health planning and policy making.Methods Mortality data of Shouguang population in 2011 were analyzed.Results In 2011,1 044 747 residents were investigated,in which 7 128 died,the mortality is 682.27/100 000.The mortality of residents(/100 000) for male is 730.27,for female is 633.33,for 0 years old infants is 518.69,for 1~4 years old children is 46.33,and for 5~9 years old children is 23.68.The mortality rate increased significantly along with the growth of age among people who were 40 years old or above.The top four causes of death in males were malignant neoplasms,cardiovascular diseases,cerebrovascular conditions and respiratory diseases;in females were cardiovascular diseases,malignant neoplasms,cerebrovascular conditions and respiratory diseases.Conclusion malignancy,Cardiovascular disease,Cerebral vascular disease,respiratory diseases are the main causes of mortality of residents in Shouguang.
