Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Xuebijing injection in the treatment of sepsis acute kidney injury(SAKI), and the influence on plasma interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) level in patients. Methods Forty patients with sepsis acute kidney injury in our hospital from September 2011 to March 2013 were selected, which were divided into observation group(n=20) and control group(n=20) randomly. The patients in control group received routine treatment, while the patients in observation group received routine treatment and Xuebijing injection 80 ml every day. The treatment lasted for 15 days. Patients' RIFLE grades were recorded accordingto RIFLE grading standard before and after the treatment. The recovery and the degree of deterioration were compared. The C-reactive protein(CRP), peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets(CD3+, CD4+), white blood cell count(WBC), the IL-6 level and the TNF-α level of patients in two groups were compared before and after the treatment. Results According to RIFLE classification, before treatment, there were no statistical significance in the CRP, CD3+,CD4+, IL-6, TNF-α, WBC between patients in observation group and control group(P0.05). After treatment, the CRP,IL-6, TNF-α, WBC of patients in observation group decreased significantly compared to that of the control group and the CD3+, CD4+of patients in the control group increased significantly(P0.05). The effective rate of treatment in observation group was 85%(17/20), which was significantly higher than that in control group [25%(5/20)], P0.05.Conclusion Xuebijing injection can effectively control the effects of plasma inflammatory factors and improve the immune functions in SAKI patients. It can improve the symptoms of SAKI better than conventional therapy
