Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy of antipsychotics combined flouxetine in the treatment of chronic schizophrenia with negative symptoms. Methods To tally Sixty cases of chronic schizophrenia mainly with negative symptoms were randomly divided into combined groups(treated with antipsychotics and flouxetine) and control group(treated with placebo). The course of treatment was twelve weeks,The efficiency and side effects were evaluated by positive and negative symptoms scale(PANSS) and treatment emergent symptoms scale(TESS) before and after treatments for 4、8、12 weeks. Results After 8 weeks treatments, the total scores and negative symptoms scores of PANSS significantly decreased in the combined group than that before treatment. Conclusions Antipsychotics combined with flouxetine should improve the negative symptoms of chroric schizophrenia. Two groups have no significant differences in side effects.
