Effect of aripiprazole on life quality in schizophrenics:Meta-analysis

Objective: To study the further effect of aripiprazole on the quality of life in schizophrenics. Method:Meta-analysis was made for 7 papers about comparative studies on life quality of schizophrenics affected by aripiprazole and other antipsychotics. Results:On the aspects of physiological health, psychological health and social function,the average effects within aripiprazole group were respectively-1.93、-2.61、-1.96,and 95%CI were(-3.51,-0.34)、(-4.16,-1.07)、(-3.76,-0.15). Average effects between aripiprazole and other antipsychotics were respectively 1.03、0.70、1.00,and 95%CI were(0.51,1.91)、(-0.14,1.53)、(-0.03,2.03). Conclusion:Aripiprazole can significantly improve the quality of life in schizophrenics and is better than control drugs on improving physiological health.
