Effects of Aripiprazole and Clozapine on the life quality of schizophrenics

Abstract

Objective:To compare the effects of Aripiprazole and Clozapine on the life quality of schizophrenics.Methods:Eighty schizophrenics(met the criteria of CCMD-3 for schizophrenia) were randomly divided into the Aripiprazole group(n=40) and the Clozapine group(n=40),and assessed with PANSS and GQOLI before treatment and at the end of 12 Week of post-treatment.Results: Both of Aripiprazole and Clozapine could improve the mental symptoms and life quality of schizophrenics,Aripiprazole was better than Clozapine in physical function,mental health,social function.Conclusions: Aripiprazole is better for improving the life quality and beneficial to schizophrenics returning to society.
