Comparison analysis of curative effect of breast-conserving surgery and radical surgery in the treatment of early breast cancer

Objective To investigate the difference of curative effect between breast-conserving surgery and radical operation for early-stage breast cancer patient,as well as the application value of breastconserving surgery. Methods From March 2007 to June 2010,60 patients with early-stage breast cancer were divided into two groups. 30 patients treated with modified radical operation and 30 patients treated with breast-conserving surgery. Compare the two groups after 3 years in local recurrence,distant metastasis,survival rate and surgical cosmetic satisfaction degree. Results The group of breast-conserving surgery was significantly better than the radical operation group in surgery time,blood loss,hospital staying time and complication rates. The difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). As for therapeutic effect,the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant( P 0. 05). Beauty satisfaction degree of breast-conserving surgery group is 96. 7%,better than the radical operation group( 43. 3%),the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusions The therapeutic effect of breast-conserving surgery was close to radical operation,but it has less influence in appearance and has higher surgical cosmetic satisfaction degree. Thus,it can be taken into consideration first if allowed in clinical.
