Abstract

A berhal compound disinfectant solution was prepared from the water decoctions of the main ingredients Herba Taraxaci and Radix Stemonae. Carrier quantitative germicidal test was used to observe its germicidal efficacy. Results: The stock solution of the disinfectant with 1, 3 and 7 min contact time killed over 99.94% in average of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans respectively. Organic substance had certain influence on its germicidal efficacy. The germicidal efficacy of its stock solution had no significant change after storing in sealed condition at 54℃ for 14 days. Conclusion: This herbal compound disinfectant solution has good efficacy in killing vegetative forms of bacteria and yeast. Its property is stable.
