Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy ofGuben Qudu Yishen Decoctionin treating Ⅲ-stage chronic renal failure and its effects on plasma Cys-C. Methods 120 subjects were randomized into two groups:control group in which 60 cases were treated with low-protein and low-phosphorum diets and regular medicines, and treatment group in which 60 cases were treated withGuben Qudu Yishen Decoctionapart from the modalities in control group. The clinical efficacy and the levels of plasma Cys-C, Scr, BUN and Hb were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 95% in treatment group and 60% in control group, P0.01;after treatment, the levels of Cys-C, Scr, BUN and Hb were improved significantly in treatment group(P0.01), little in control group(P0.05);there were significant differences between treatment group and control group (P0.01). ConclusionGuben Qudu Yishen Decoctioncan ameliorate renal function and anemia, and decrease the levels of Cys-C as well.
