Clinical Observation of "Yishen Xiezhuo Huayu Decoction" in Treating Chronic Renal Failure

Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Yishen Xiezhuo Huayu Decoction in treating chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods Sixty subjects were equally randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 30 cases were treated with Yishen Xiezhuo Huayu Decoction and control group in which 30 cases were treated with coated Cldehyde Oxystarch(CAO),with a course of three months.The clinical symptoms and the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr) were observed.Results The total effective rate was 73.3% in treatment group and 16.0% in control group(P0.05).After treatments,the score of clinical symptoms and the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr) were reduced in treatment group(P0.05),with significant differences between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Yishen Xiezhuo Huayu Decoction can improve clinical symptoms and renal functions in the treatment of CRF.
