Analysis of Irrational Prescription in Outpatient Department of Tumour Hospital

Objective To provide better pharmaceutical service in hospital,stuff from department of pharmacy randomly inspect prescriptions of the outpatient department every month,and analyzed the results in each quarter,in order to promote the rational clinical drug application.Methods Every month,300 prescriptions of outpatient department were randomly inspected(2008-07~2009-06),and a total of 3600 prescriptions were investigated.The status of irrational drug application was analyzed,and the proportion of irrational prescriptions was calculated.Results There were 127 prescriptions with irrational drug application(7.06% of the total prescriptions examined).Conclusion Irrational drug application do exist in outpatient department.Clinicians and pharmacists should pay more attention to these problems.The prescriptions analysis should be strengthened,to promote the rational clinical drug application.
