Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To probe into irrational drug use involved in outpatient prescriptions of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Beihai Municipal hospital of Traditional Chinses Medicine so as to promote rational and safe use of drugs.METHODS: 7 256 outpatient prescriptions were randomly collected from our hospital from 2009 to 2010 for statistical analysis of irrational drug use.RESULTS: Of the total 7 256 outpatient prescriptions,irrational drug use was noted in 1 428 points.1 901(26.21%) were injection prescriptions and 1 964(27.08%) were antibiotic prescriptions.CONCLUSION: Irrational drug use was noted in outpatient prescriptions of our hospital.It is urgent for outpatient physicians to standardize their rational drug use.
