Effect of Qihuang Decoction on Serum Lipid of Hyperlipidemia Rats

Abstract

Objective :To investigate the effect of Qihuang decoction on serumlipid of hyperlipidemia rats.Methods :Sixty Wistar rats were randomly dividedinto six groups :a normal group;a hyperlipidemia model group;a treated group by Qihuang decoction with the small dosage,the mediumdosage,the big dosage;a treat ment group by western medicine Duoxikang.The total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein(HDL-C) in serum of the rats were determined.Results :The hyperlipidemia rats were treated by Qihuang decoction reduced the raisedTC,TG and LDL-C(P0.01).Conclusion: Qihuang decoction can lowerTC,TGand LDL-C of hyperlipidemia rats.
