Simultaneous Determination of Oleanolic Acid and Ursolic Acid in Rubus parvifolius by RP-HPLC

Abstract

Objective:To develop a RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in Rubus parvifolius.Method: The separation was achieved on a Kromasil C18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) at 30 ℃ using methanol-phosphoric acid solution(90∶10) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1,210 nm as the detection wavelength.Result: The linear ranges of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid were from 0.136 8 to 1.368 0 μg and 0.212 8 to 2.218 0 μg,respectively.The average recoveries(n=6) for oleanolic acid and ursolic acid were 97.5%(RSD 1.6%),96.9%(RSD 1.4%),respectively.Conclusion: The proposed method is accurate,simple and applicable for determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in R.parvifolius.
