Treatment of Sjogren's syndrome with Huoxuejiedu Formula in 63 cases

Objective To observe the curative effect of self-made Huoxuejiedu Formula on Sjogren's syndrome.Method All 63 patients with Sjogren's syndrome were divided into the treatment group and control group.The treatment group was treated with Huoxuejiedu Formula orally,and the control group was treated with Tripterygium Glucosides Tablets.The curative effect,symptoms and signs,and relevant laboratory indexes were observed.Result The comparison in curative effect between the treatment group and control group showed no significant difference(P0.05).The scores of dry mouth and eyes,arthralgia,constipation,dry skin,manifestations of tongue and pulse decreased in two groups compared with those in the same group before the treatment(P0.01,P0.05).The symptom of dry mouth was relieved significantly in the treatment group compared with the control group(P0.01).The values of Schirmer test of the right and left eye,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and C-reactive protein(CRP) were all improved in two groups compared with those in the same group before the treatment(P0.01,P0.05).The comparison between two groups showed no statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion Huoxuejiedu Formula can relieve effectively the main symptoms and laboratory indexes of Sjogren's syndrome and has a better curative effect.
