Abstract
Objective To investigate the non-invasive positive pressure ventilation(NIPPV) for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) and respiratory failure, type 2 combined the efficacy and care. Methods 96 patients with COPD and type 2 respiratory failure patients are given in conventional therapy, including 48 cases application of NIPPV therapy for the observation group,no treatment with NIPPV as a control group of 48 cases were observed length of stay, success rate, rate of endotracheal intubation. Results The treatment group 2 h,24 h after the significant improvement in arterial blood gas indices, the average length of stay shortened significantly higher success rate and intubation rate was significantly lower compared with the control group, significant differences(P0.05).Conclusion NIPPV treatment of COPD and type 2 respiratory failure is an effective measure to reduce the length of stay, increase the success rate and reduce intubation rate.
