Abstract

Maize hybrid Danyu No.87 was bred in Dandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the winter of 1997 by crossing Dan T135 as the female parent and Xi502 as the male parent.It was indicated from every degree of grain yield tests and demonstration that Danyu No.87 has the character of high and steady grain yield,resistance to many diseases,lodging and drought,medium maturity and wide adaptation.Danyu No.87 is a good hybrid that can be planted for more plantings per hectare.
