Abstract
ethyl laurate was synthesized from lauric acid and the absolute ethyl alcohol as raw materials in the presence of titanium sulfate as catalyst.Factors influenceing the product yield were discussed and optium reaction conditions were found.Experimental results showed that titanium sulfate is an excellent catalyst. With molar ratio of lauric acid to ethyl alcohol =1.0∶5.0,catalyst dosage =4.5%,using cycloexane as water carrier reaction temperature is 90-100 ℃and reaction time is 3.5 hour, the yield of the product achieves 90.7%.
