Abstract

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety between continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII) and multiple subcutaneous insulin injection(MSII).Methods Retrospectively analyze the clinical characteristics of 68 patients with type 2 diabetes melltus(T2DM) in our hospital from June 2009 to January 2011,the 68 patients with T2DM were treated by two methods of CSII and MSII,revised the insulin by their blood glucose. Then analyze the duration of treatment, the insulin dose and hypoglycemia incidence when their blood glucose were controlled normal. Results When their blood glucose were controlled normal, the average duration of treatment were(5.50±1.54)days,(7.56±1.54)days,P0.01;The insulin dose were(33.38±5.00)U,(36.88±4.75)U,P0.01;Hypoglycemia incidence were(0.03±0.01)%,(0.13±0.02),P0.01.The average duration of treatment, the insulin dose and hypoglycemia incidence were revealed a significant difference between CSII and MSII.Conclusions CSII can reduce the duration of treatment, the insulin dose and hypoglycemia incidence were markedly decreased in patients treated by CSII.CSII can control the hyperglycemia effectively with reduced hypoglycemia risk.
