Abstract
Objective To investigate the factors, prevention and treatment of posterior capsular rupture in the phacoemulsification for cataracts. Methods The causes of posterior capsular rupture in 76 of 486 eyes(456 cases)having undergone phacoemulsification were analyzed. Results There were 76 eyes(15.64%)with rupture of porsterior capsule.70 eyes(8211%)had during the phase of phaco,5 eyes(6.57%)in the phase of I/A,1 eyes(1.32%)in the phase of IOL implantation; The visual acuity after 3 months:≥0.5 66 eyes(86.84%).Conclusions Posterior capsular rupture is a common complication, early identification and correct management of it could achieve better result.
