Abstract

Objective To analyze the cause of posterior capsular rupture in phacoemulsification and investigate the treatment. Methods Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation was performed on 365 patients (365eyes).Circumstances of posterior capsular rupture was analyzed and summarized. Results Posterior capsular rupture occurred in 26 eyes during operation. It occurred during water separating in 2 eyes ; phacoemulsification in 21 eyes ; I/A cortex in 3 eyes. IOL was embedded in all eyes. The vision acuity was better than 0.6 in 15 eyes, 0.3 in 5 eyes after 3 months postoperatively. We did not observe severe syndrome. Conclusion Phaco techno-skilled and treatment the posterior capsule rupture correctly on time can improve the effects of operation.
