Abstract
AIM:To study the therapeutic effect of iv gtt of diltiazem in treating hypertension emergency.METHODS:Hypertension patients(M 21,F 11,age 57 ± s 14 a)in emergency were treated with diltiazem 50 mg in 5% glucose 250 mL iv gtt in 60-120 min. RESULTS:The clinical total effective rate of depressing blood pressure was 90% for systolic pressure and 90% for diastolic pressure. The blood pressure was depressed in 5 min,and became normal in 15-20 min. CONCLUSION:Diltiazem is a safe effective hypotensive drug for emegency use.
