Abstract
Objective To evaluate the antihypertensive effect and safety of diltiazem infusion in patients with hypertension emergency.Methods 72 patients with hypertension acute disease were divided into 2 groups which were:the diltiazem group(n=38) and the Sodium Nitroprusside group(n=34)according to whether diltiazem was applied or not.The changes of blood pressure,SBP,DBP and heart rate were monitored and compared.Results The effect on blood pressure was significantly dropped.Conclusion The data indicate that intravenous diltiazen infusion is effective and safe for patients with hypertension acute disease.
