Abstract

Fragile histidine triad(FHIT) gene,a number of histidine triad gene Family, encodes a diadenosine AP3A,is a candidate tumor suppressor gene. The gene encompasses the common fragile site FRA3B on the chromosome 3.In a variety of tumors in particular environmental carcinogens are often caused by tumors of the FHIT gene abnormalities.FHIT gene may control the cell cycle, apoptosis induced by tumor play a role in the mechanism of its inactivation is mainly expressed in the promoter region of CPG island methylation, deletion and abnormal transcription. This article will introduce the relationship between FHIT gene and colonic carcinoma were reviewed.
