Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of conjunctival reconstruction and pterygium prevention after excision of pterygium with preserved human amniotic membrance transplantation.Methods 117 cases(143 eyes) were completely excised.Preserved human amniotic membrane was transplanted to cover the exposed sclera.Results Corneal epithelium recovered in 2 to 3 days after surgery.The neovascularization in amniotic membrane graft were completed within 2 to 3 weeks after operation,and it was difficult to tell the difference with normal conjunctiva.All the cases got satisfied curative effect(91%)during the follow up of 2-24 months.Conclusions Pterygium excision with preserved human amniotic membrane transplantation can significantly prevent the recurrence of pterygium
