Abstract

Objective To discuss the effects of transplantation of preserved amniotic membrane for pterygium.Methods 35 pterygium patients(38 eyes) underwent pterygium excision and preserved amniotic membrane transplantation surgery.Results The mean follow-up period was 6 to 24 months,pterygium recurrences occurred in 4 eyes in the follow-up time.Conclusions Transplantation of preserved amniotic membrane is an effective surgery for pterygium.
