Clinical observation of "Kunning Prescription" in treating 68 cases of perimenopausal syndrome

Objective To observe and compare the clinical efficacy of Kunning Prescription in granule and in decoction against perimenopausal syndrome.Methods One hundred and eight subjects were randomized into two groups: observation group in which 68 cases were treated with Kunning Prescription in granule,and control group in which 40 cases were treated with Kunning Prescription in decoction,with a course of 30 days.The clinical efficacy and Kupperman index were evaluated.Results The overall effective rate was 91.18% in the observation group and 92.5% in the control group,with no difference between them(P0.05);after treatment,the Kupperman indexes were significantly decreased in both groups(P0.01),but with no difference between them(P0.05).Conclusion Kunning Prescription in granule and in decoction acts insignificantly on perimenopausal syndrome.
