Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of Gengnianjiangzhi prescription on treating perimenopausal syndrome combined with hyperlipemia.Methods:60 cases of perimenopausal syndrome were divided randomly into the treatment group(treated by Gengnianjiangzhi prescription) and the contrast group(treated by Livial) with same cases each group. The improved Kupperman syndrome(K) score, the traditional Chinese medical symptom and sign(TCMSS) score was evaluated before and after therapy. The level of endocrine hormone(E2 and FSH) and the level of blood fat(TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C) were examined. The side effect such as vagina bleeding and breast swelling was observed. Results:The K score and the TCMSS score of the treatment group and the contrast group was obviously reduced after 4 and 8 weeks of therapy(P0.05).The difference between two groups had no significant meaning(P0.05).The difference of E2 level of two group before therapy and 8 weeks after therapy had no significant meaning(P0.05).The level of FSH,TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C in each group was obviously varied before therapy and 8 weeks after therapy(P0.05).The difference between two groups had no significant meaning(P0.05).The difference of two groups on the safety index has no significant meaning. However, there was no cased of side effect in the treatment group and three cases of vagina bleeding and on cases of side effect in the contrast group. Conclusion:Gengnianjiangzhi prescription has the same effect of Livial on improving the clinical symptom of perimenopausal syndrome combined with hyperlipemia, regulating the level of hormone and blood fat.Gengnianjiangzhi prescription is also safer and has less side effect than Livial.
