Abstract

In order to observe the germicidal efficacy of a compound liquid disinfectant containing cetrimide and chlorhexidine gluconate as the main ingredients and its influencing factors, carrier quantitative method was used for test. The results showed that its 1:32 diluted solution (equivalent to containing cetrimide 1033 mg/L and chlorhexidine gluconate 103 mg/L) with a 5 min contact time killed 99.97% of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. This dilute solution with a 10 min contact time killed 99.97% of Candida albicans. Calf serum, temperature and pH had no influence on its germicidal efficacy. immersing the hands in its 1:8 diluted solution (equivalent to containing cetrimide 4 133 mg/L and chlorhexidine gluconate 412 mg/L) for 3 min killed 99.82% of the natural bacteria on the bands. After storing at 37℃ for 3 months, cetrimide content decreased by 1.94% and chlorhexidine gluconate content decreased by 6.06%. The results indicated that the disinfectant has good efficacy in killing vegetative form of bacteria and good stability.
